Hilton Hotels to Open a Rebranded Location in Abu Dhabi This Summer

Hilton Worldwide hotels has announced a new Hilton Hotels & Resorts branded hotel to be opened in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to a press release from Hilton Worldwide.

The hotel in its current incarnation is known as the Abu Dhabi Al Maqta, and will be rebranded as the Hilton Abu Dhabi Capital Grand during the upcoming summer.

"We are delighted to have signed such a prestigious deal for this unique, quality hotel in Abu Dhabi and in an emerging business community," Rudi Jagerbacher, the president of Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa, said.

The hotel will undergo a series of brand changes before reopening under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio. It has a 700-person capacity grand ballroom with a separate 500-person capacity function room, which can be used for meetings and conferences. Additionally, it has five other large meeting rooms, two boardrooms and a VIP Majilis with a private entrance.

The accommodations the hotel provides range from a classic room to a deluxe room or junior presidential suite. All the rooms have signature design pieces consisting of floor-to-ceiling glass windows and marble bathrooms.

The hotel has 281 rooms in a curved, glass building located close to the airport and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the heart of the city's Capital District.

Guests also have the choice of an indoor or outdoor pool and a range of other amenities including seven restaurants and bars, many offering city views.

Abu Dhabi is one of the fastest growing tourist markets in the Middle East.
