A Chinese man destroyed his $423,000 maserati because he was unhappy with the way that his car was repaired by the company that distributes the car. To vent his anger, he took a sledgehammer to the pricey vehicle and smashed it to pieces.
According to the China Car Times, The owner of the car got sick of the Furi Group, which is responsible for distributing Maserati in the Qingdao area, repeatedly fixing his car with old parts. He bought the Quattroporte in September 2011 but he had to take it back to the dealership in November to have an issue corrected. The owner paid for new parts to fix the issue, but the dealership used secondhand parts to repair the car. The owner knew the parts were second hand because they were covered in dirt and the car still had problems.
After getting fed up with the company, he decided to take his anger out on the car. He hired "smashers" to help him beat the car with sledgehammers at the Qingdao Auto Show. Four men smashed all of the windows and mirrors of the car.

This isn't the first time a luxury car got an intentional beating. Smashing supercars had become a tradition at the Qingdao Auto Show. According to the China Car Times, a Lamborghini owner destroyed his exotic car at the 2011 auto show. He was protesting because of his dissatisfaction with Lamborghini China. He wanted to bring attention to the company. The strange this is that he bought his car second-hand in Germany, so it is not clear how he thought Lambo China should be responsible.
