easyJet is Targeting Business Travelers With a New Fast Track Security Procedure and Flexi Fares

easyJet is beginning a new fast track security service to attract more business travelers, according to BreakingTravelNews.com.

The new service will be an added benefit when travelers purchase easyJet's flexi fares, which start at approximately $118. Flexi fares give passengers unlimited flexibility to change the dates of their flights up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. Passengers booking that fare will also be able to choose a seat at the front of the plane, enjoy speedy boarding, no booking fees and a checked bag at no additional cost.

The new service begins this month and will be offered at 27 airports, which will constitute 54 percent of the airline's business network. In the coming months, the airline plans to increase the airports across their network that offer the fare.

"Above all else business travelers want frequent, punctual flights to leading airports, with friendly service and at great fares, and that is why 10 million of them choose to fly with easyJet every year," Carolyn McCall, the CEO of easyJet, said. "Building on that platform, we want to give them other services that they truly value and which we can deliver without changing our simple efficient operations.

"Allocated seating is a good example of something our business passengers told us they really wanted and that we have been able to manage while maintaining our industry leading punctuality," McCall continued. "By teaming up with our airport partners we can now offer fast track security, which enables time sensitive business travelers to reduce their journey time through the airport."

Phase one of easyJet's flexi fare will begin at London Gatwick, Southend and Stansted, Liverpool, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Venice Marco Polo, Athens, Budapest, Munich, Cologne/Bonn, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Prague, Tallinn, Geneva and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Paris CDG and Orly.

easyJet currently transports more than 10 million business passengers a year and leads the airline industry in punctuality and friendly service across Europe's airline network.

Business passengers are most interested in flexible fares, allocated seating and fast track security, according to research cited by easyJet. By providing these specific services, easyJet hopes to gain more business passengers who want those same amenities.
