Pop-Tarts New Flavors: Kellog's Debuts Peanut Butter and Chocolate Frosted Peanut Butter

Everyone's favorite breakfast pastry, Pop-Tarts, has revealed two new flavors. Kellogg's who owns Pop-Tarts has debuted peanut butter and frosted peanut butter flavored pop tarts that are labeled in their "Gone Nutty" category.

Pop-Tarts says on its website about the Peanut Butter flavored Pop-Tart, "Crunchy peanut butter-flavored crust enveloping a filling made with real, creamy peanut butter and sprinkled with sugar. It's the perfect toaster pastry for peanut butter-lovers."

The Huffington Post reported that both of the new pastries contain peanut butter filling and the peanut butter flavor is topped with a sprinkle of sugar crystals and a frosted chocolate flavor features a frosted chocolate crust.

"Chocolate crust wrapped around filling made with real peanut butter and topped with frosting. It's the perfect combination for a perfect start to your day," says Pop-Tarts website about the chocolate-peanut butter variety.

Both flavors are wrapped in a special gold fold, noted a Kellog's press release, "making them stand out from the brand's traditional silver foil wrappers."

"Peanut butter has long been the most requested flavor by our fans," said Dick Podiak, director of marketing for Pop-Tarts, in a press release. "We think everyone will agree it was worth the wait once they taste these delicious new varieties."

The Pop-Tarts team is hitting the road getting the word out about the new flavors.

"The Pop-Tartstoasting team is hitting the road on a cross-country trip in a toaster-shaped truck to hand deliver the peanut buttery goodness.
