A woman forced an American Airlines plane to make an emergency landing because she wouldn't stop singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston.
The woman started singly shortly after the flight from Los Angeles to New York took off. However she wouldn't stop and it became too much for the passengers and staff to handle, so the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing halfway through the flight. He landed the plane in Kansas City so police could remove the woman from the plane, the Daily Mail reports.
"The woman was being disruptive and was removed from the plane for interfering with the flight crew," airport spokesman Joe McBride told WBTV. "There was a federal air marshal on the aircraft, who subdued the woman and put her in cuffs and removed her from the plane."
Even handcuffs didn't stop the woman from belting out the song. Passengers were told that they weren't allowed to take photos on board, but one passenger managed to sneak a video of the woman being escorted down the aisles. She was still singing the 1990's pop song, even though she was in handcuffs.
The woman was interviewed by police and was later released without being charged.
The hit song, which Houston, sang in the film "The Bodyguard" was a cover. Dolly Parton originally released the song in 1974. Parton's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart twice.
However the song didn't become such a big hit until Houston sang it. The song became he best-selling single by a female artist in music history and "The Bodyguard: album won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Houston was the first artist to sell a million copies of an album in a week.
Houston died in February 2011. She was found dead in her Beverly Hills hotel and coroner's said she drowned in the bathtub, but heart disease and cocaine use also played a part in her death.
