Kidnap Victims Shuns Family: Michelle Knight Tells Family She Doesn't Want to See Them

The 32-year-old hostage has refused to see her mother or grandmother since she was freed from suspect Ariel Castro's dungeon prison.

Michelle Knight who was one of the kidnap victim's in Cleveland by Ariel Castro, has refused to see her family since her release. The Daily Mail reported that Knight told her family that she does not want to see them and had refused to see her grandmother or mother.

Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight were all resucued from Ariel Castro's basement where thye were stuck for over a decade. Castro has been charged with four counts of kidnapping for the three women and Amanda's six-year-old daughter.

The Daily Mail reported that a police report said that Knight suffered at least five miscarriages that Castro is accused of causing by starving her for weeks and beating her in the stomach.

Knight vanished in 2002 at 20 years old and was a single mother . She had lost custody of her son.

Michelle was a 20-year-old single mother when she vanished in 2002 after losing custody of her son, who was about 3 or 4 years old, to child welfare authorities, her grandmother said.

"They took him and she went out and took off and never came back," Deborah Knight said to The Daily Mail.

"The three women were allegedly each offered a lift home separately by Castro, who then took them prisoner, confining them with ropes and chains in the house of horrors for more than a decade," reported The Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail reported that Gina DeJesus's family was trying to convince Michelle to stay with them after she told her family she didn't want to stay with them. AP

Lupe Collins who is one of their neighbors told The Daily Mail, "She was Georgina's sister for ten years in that house and she's still her sister now. They're going to take her in as their own family member and help her."
