Crystal Cruises has revised their rules and announced recently that they will be banning smoking in all indoor areas of their two ships. The one exception is the Connoisseur Club smoking lounges. Outside smoking will be permitted in a small number of designated spaces.
"We have received considerable feedback and we listened," Gregg Michel, president of Crystal Cruises, said in a statement. "The majority of our guests worldwide are nonsmoking, and travelers are used to more nonsmoking environments today."
USA Today reported that the policy will begin with its first trips in 2014 and has also eliminated smoking in all cabins, the lobby lounges and its on-board nightclubs, Pulse and Luxe.
