Spirit Airlines Introducing New Ultra-Low Fare Service and New Summer Seasonal Routes

Spirit Airlines is starting an ultra-low fare service of nine of their new non-stop routes. They will also resume summer seasonal service on a variety of other routes, according to BreakingTravelNews.com.

Among the new routes will include a flight to Cancun, Mexico.

"The new flight to Cancun gives passengers another great option to fly into one of our most popular international tourist spots, just in time for the busy summer travel season," Jeff Fegan, the CEO of DFW Airport said. "We continue to be very pleased and encouraged by the growth of Spirit Airlines at DFW with new flights into Los Angeles and Oakland, and we are looking forward to providing Spirit Airlines passengers with outstanding DFW Airport customer service that is highly regarded around the world."

The airline is beginning new routes to Baltimore, Philadelphia and Myrtle Beach as part of their expansion in destinations.

"The launch of nonstop flight service from Baltimore to Washington International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport is great news for the Grand Stand and golfers in two of our most popular feeder markets," Bill Golden, the president of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday said. "The new service will allow golfers from Baltimore and Philadelphia to be on the first tee two hours after takeoff, maximizing the enjoyment of their next Myrtle Beach golf trip."

"Customers are continuing to respond favorably to Spirit's ultra low fares and options that offer a total price that's tough to beat," Barry Biffle, Spirit's Chief Marketing Officer said.

The nine new routes, which began on April 25, will include:

Dallas/Forth Worth (DFW) to Cancun, Mexico

DFW to Los Angeles (LAX)

DFW to Oakland/San Francisco (OAK)

Philadelphia (PHL) to Las Vegas (LAS)

PHL to Myrtle Beach (MYR)

Baltimore/Washington (BWI to MYR

BWI to LAS

Houston (IAH) to LAX

Denver (DEN) to Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)

Spirit Airlines will resume the following summer routes:

Atlantic City (ACY) to Detroit (DTW)

ACY to Chicago O'Hare (ORD)

ACY to Atlanta (ATL)

ACY to Boston (BOS)

DFW to MYR

DFW to Portland, Oregon (PDX)

DFW to BOS

BOS to ORD

DTW to LAX

Orlando (MCO to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU)

Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ)

FLL to Kingston, Jamaica (KIN)

Spirit also has the following nonstop routes starting in June:

Houston (IAH) to DEN - starts June 13

IAH to DTW - starts June 13

DFW to Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD) - starts June 13

DFW to Latrobe/Pittsburgh (LBE) - starts June 14
