The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in Scotland has opened a new Park Inn by Radisson hotel in the Glasgow city center.
The new hotel is located in the historic Pearl Assurance building at the corner of West George Street and Renfield Street. The Park Inn features self check-in, a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, an on-site gym and an Internet kiosk. The rooms all have sound proofed windows, which allow guests to enjoy being in the center of the city without suffering adverse noise effects that prevent a relaxing night of sleep.
The restaurant has all-day menu offerings, including choices such as fresh strawberries, soups, pizza, pasta and grilled and shared platters. The bar will have a variety of regional wines, beers, spirits and hot beverages to allow guests options as they relax or provide refreshments during meetings.
There is also a meeting space that businesses can use to hold conferences and special events, consisting of two meeting rooms that can cater up to 30 people with a private meeting area as well, which includes a space to serve coffee and tea.
There is also an on-site gym and Internet kiosk that can be used by business travelers.
"This is an exciting time for the city of Glasgow with the highly anticipated arrival of the Hydro this year and the upcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games," the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group said in a statement. "We feel this is a good time to add to our Glasgow portfolio with a strong, modern hotel and I'm confident that we can offer something fresh and unique to the mid-market business and leisure traveler."
The hotel has 91 guest rooms, which the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group tells BreakingTravelNews.com are spacious and well-proportioned with high ceilings, neutral décor, and free high speed Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions.
