Edward Norton Fight: Paparazzo Alleges Harassment While Actor's Reps Won't Talk About Fight

Edward Norton, an actor best known, perhaps ironically, for his role in "Fight Club," was allegedly involved in an altercation with a paparazzo in New York City on Tuesday.

Alain Becerra-Calderon, the photographer, alleges he suffered a "tissue contusion" on his finger, according to the New York Post. The New York Police Department is investigating the claim.

The injury occurred when the 43-year-old actor shoved the photographer's camera away after he approached the actor with a cell phone camera on a street in midtown Manhattan, according to Becerra-Calderon, though according to TMZ the photographer followed him down the street while asking the question, trying to film his reaction on a cell phone camera.

"I got a quick question: People say you look like me. Is that true?" Becerra-Calderon asked Norton.

"Why are you stalking me?" said Norton, reacting in a way that the photographer described as angry. Norton then shoved the camera out of his face.

After the incident, Becerra-Calderon checked into Beth Israel Hospital, where he was treated for the "tissue contusion" on his middle finger. He has also since filed harassment charges against Norton with the New York Police Department.

"He went to the hospital claiming hand pain," said an NYPD spokesman who talked to E! News. "It was classified as harassment."

Police have ruled out criminal charged due to a lack of witnesses to the altercation. Becerra-Calderon has not responded as to whether he will pursue a civil suit against Norton.

He said he's "discussing that with [his] attorney," according to the New York Post. The photographer has his own YouTube channel, where he interviews celebrities.

"[Norton] needs to learn to control his temper," said Becerra-Calderon. "I asked if I could ask a question, and he grabbed my phone."

The incident was "very, very scary," the photographer added.

Norton's representatives have yet to comment on the situation. Insert your own "first rule of fight club is..." joke.
