JFK Airport was evacuated on Sunday due to a suspicious package. Authorities evacuated a terminal temporarily at the New York Airport for something that turned out to be a tube of toothpaste that was wrapped in duct tape.

Kennedy International Airport shortly after 4:00 p.m. EST on Sunday which caused alarm The package was found in the baggage room of Concourse B in Terminal 4, where El-Al airlines operates according to Chris Valens, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

A bomb squad from the New York Police Department was sent to investigate the package. According to Officer James Duffy, they found that the package wasn't dangerous as it was nothing more than toothpaste that was covered in duct tape.

"We determined that it only contained toothpaste," Duffy said.
