A British Airways flight had to make an emergency landing due to a drunk man who was returning from vacation in Cancun.
Sean Kelly, 31, was on his way back to London from Cancun, Mexico when the plane he was on was forced to land due to his drunken behavior. According to a report from the Orlando Sentinel, Kelly was "spitting on flight attendants and cursing while trying to pick fights with everyone he made eye contact with."
Kelly had a 750 mL bottle of Stolichnaya Vodka which he had been drinking on the flight. When the flight landed in Florida, he was escorted off the plane by Orlando Police officers and U.S. Customs agents, flight attendants told the Sentinel.
Kelly didn't take the arrest lightly. As he was escorted to a holding cell, he was using foul language and kept using threats such as "I will kill you," and "you're dead," and "let's have a go" the Sentinel reports.
Kelly was so out of control that he had to be taken to the ground twice to prevent him from attacking a female police officer. He received bruises and cuts to is left eye because of the incident but he refused medical treatment for his injuries.
When Kelly was in the holding cell, he started running around the cell, shadow boxing and continued to scream and threaten the officers.
Kelly was transported from the holding cell to Orange County Jail. He was charged with resisting an officer with violence and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
This isn't the first time someone was removed from a plane for being drunk. In January, a British Airways flight had to make an emergency landing in France after two drunken middle-aged women were being unruly and tried to storm the cockpit.
