Californian Police Officer On Vacation In Hawaii Stops Airport Security Breach (VIDEO)

Police officers are never off-duty and Justin Rogers, a corporal from Pinole, California proves it.

While going through the Honolulu airport security line after the conclusion of his and his family's island vacation last Saturday, he heard a loud noise and felt the need to step in.

He had just taken his shoes off to go through the body scanner when he heard a "loud crash" off to his side, CNN affiliate KTVU reported.

"When I turned around, I saw a woman with her arms flailing, screaming at this TSA agent." He turned back around, thinking security officers would handle the ruckus, but they didn't.

The mild "disturbance" quickly turned into a full-blown battle of the fisticuffs and thanks to a TSA surveillance camera, it was all caught on video.

"The next thing I know, I heard what I thought was skin to skin contact, like somebody getting punched," Rogers said. "Sure enough, she was punching her," according to CNN.

It was at this point that Rogers made a move that even action-star Jason Stathman would be jealous of.

"He bounded over a waist-high security barrier and with a quick swoop and a professional takedown separated the assailant from the agent and immobilized her on the floor," stated CNN.

Though other TSA officials arrived on the scene, Rogers, who was wearing comfy shorts, a T-shirt and ankle socks--nothing like a police officer, thought it would be best to announce his identity.

"I held up my hand and said, 'I'm a police officer; I'm a police officer,' because I was worried maybe they'd think I was assaulting somebody," reported CNN and the agents believed him.

"An airport policeman pulled out a pair of cuffs, and Rogers helped him secure the suspect's wrists. She was arrested and charged with assault," CNN affiliate Hawaii News Now reported.

It turned out that the woman was homeless and had been wandering the airport.

TSA and the assaulted agent thanked Rogers for his bravery and according to the corporal, "that was pretty much the end of story."
