After having a great night out to celebrate his 29th birthday, Miami Heat superstar, Chris Bosh came home to find hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and accessories stolen, according to Yahoo Sports.
According to Yahoo and numerous other sports and media news outlets, an estimated $340,000 in watches, rings, purses and more was taken as the NBA star was robbed in his Miami Beach mansion. Bosh purchased the home in 2010 after signing with the Miami Heat along with friend LeBron James.
Bosh reported the robbery to police at around 12:30 a.m. on April 4th, when he and his wife returned from the nightclub.
Examiner states that "he had just finished enjoying his Moroccan-themed party at a downtown location by the Bay before heading to a South Beach nightclub to finish off his big night. Then it all ended badly when he returned home and his closet was 'ransacked. and his wife's jewelry box was robbed."
TMZ, thanks to obtaining the police report, reported that the Bosh "told police that he noticed his 2012 NBA championship ring on the floor in his closet, as if the thieves thought twice about snatching that priceless piece of jewelry."
Adding, "The police report also details an alarming fact about the incident: Bosh's children were present in the home during the robbery, along with two babysitters and another teenager. The cops say there was no sign of forced entry, but two of the house's doors appeared to have been left unlocked."
Police are investigating leads close to Chris Bosh since there were no signs of forced entry.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Bosh said, according to belgeinfo.com, "it's not a good feeling but we have it set up a certain way so we can get down to the bottom of it."
