The son of actor Clark Gable was arrested this week on suspicion of drunk driving. John Clark Gable was driving near Malibu Pier on Tuesday when the crash occurred.
The 52-year old was driving a white Ford pickup truck when he crashed into six parked cars on the 21300 block of the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, according to the Sheriff's Department.
There were no injuries and Gable was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and hit-and-run.
Gable fell when exiting the vehicle, according to witnesses.
"It took him a few seconds to get out of his truck," Geno Bahena told KTLA. "And finally, when he got out of his truck, I guess he was in shock or something, he just fell on the floor."
He was held on $15,000 bail and was released from custody at 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday. John Clark Gable is not the first of the legendary actors family members to get into trouble with the law.
In 2011, the "Gone With the Wind" star's grandson, Clark James Gable, then 22, was accused of pointing a laser inside the cockpit of a Los Angeles police helicopter, endangering the pilot, who was flying over Hollywood.
Police arrested Clark James Gable and charged him with a felony, according to KTLA. Gable was later sentenced to 10 days in jail. His manager said it was an accident.
"Boys will be boys, and he was playing with what he thought was a toy and not a felony piece," Roxane Davis, his manager, told CNN at the time. "From what he told me from jail, he had it out the window, and he was shining it out the window, and the next thing he knew was that he had a spotlight on him."
Clark Gable is best known for his portrayal of Rhett Butler in the classic 1939 film "Gone With the Wind." He died in 1960. John Clark Gable was born four month's later, and never met his father.
