Attention 'Game of Thrones' fans! Just in time for the start of Season 3, a special temporary exhibit for the show has opened in New York City.
HBO and Time Warner Cable teamed together to put together a free Games of Thrones exhibit for fans for the Season 3 return. The exhibit in New York is just one of five-stop traveling exhibits. The others are in Toronto, Sao Paulo, Amsterdam and Belfast. This exhibit is the first of its kind for HBO.
The exhibit includes items like costumes, weaponry and pieces from the set. It even includes the Iron Throne which guests are allowed to sit and take pictures in. The exhibit include more than 70 items from one and two and a few from the new season 3. Guests can take part in an interactive archery experience and the Battle of Blackwater Bay from the show's second season.
The exhibit opened in New York City at 3 West 57th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenue, on March 28th and it only runs until April 3 before continuing on to Sao Paulo, Amsterdam and Belfast.
It is open on weekdays from 10:00AM - 8:00PM and it is open on weekends from 11:00AM - 7:00PM. The exhibit is free and open to the public, but there have been long lines all week. Time Warner customers can get a pass to skip the line.
Diehard fans have enjoyed the temporary exhibit and have traveled from near and far to see it.
Fan Danielle Wilson, 25, traveled three hours from Baltimore by bus. She dressed as the mother of dragons for the occasion and hoped to get a chance to see cast members.
"This is way exciting. I'm hoping to catch sight of the cast. I'm a very, very passionate 'Game of Thrones' fan. I was hoping to meet others in costume and go out for a nice evening or dinner," Wilson told the New York Daily News.
