To celebrate April Fool's Day, JetBlue did something pretty cool which wasn't a joke. Everyone named April who flew on April 1st received a JetBlue credit for the amount of the fare that they paid for their flight.
JetBlue took some pity of the April's of April fool's day who often god extra teasing for their name on this day of trickery.
"April 1st isn't always fun and games for everyone," said April Dinwoodie , JetBlue's Director of Media Relations. "For many of us, it represents an annual tradition of mockery. We're thrilled to take a moment and do something for those customers that might not look forward to starting their month with a day of teasing."
Every April who flew JetBlue on Monday had the credit for the flight automatically deposited into a JetBlue Travel Bank. Those who booked directly through JetBlue on jetblue.com or by calling 1-800-JETBLUE received the credit. However those who purchased their flight theough an outside source also qualify for the promotion.
April's who had an April 1 flight can email aprilsnofoool@jetblue.com by April 8, 2013 with your name, JetBlue confirmation number, and seat assignment to request your JetBlue Travel Bank credit.
All of the JetBlue Travel Bank credits can be used towards any Jetblue flight within one year.
April's got a special greeting from JetBlue crewmembers. They surprised all the April's with the good news.
"I'm super excited!" said April B. on her way to Cancun, "This is an early birthday present. Thank you so very much for an awesome surprise!"
Another lucky April, April C was on her way to Portland when she was told the news.
"I have always loved JetBlue and now I love you guys even more!"
This April Fool's Day, April's got the last laugh and it was no joke.
