J.Lo's Demands Outrageous and Cost Her Lucrative Gig in India

Jennifer Lopez has never had a reputation as being low maintenance, and now her list of demands is being made public, as it has cost the singer a lucrative gig performing at next Tuesday's opening ceremony of India's Premier Cricket tournament, which is viewed by 60 million people.

Organizers of the event canceled her booking after receiving her rider from her manager, Benny Medina. A rider is a list of requests common for performers. What is less common are some of the requested items.

Lopez requested a private plane and numerous hotel rooms to accommodate an entourage of stylists, assistants, and a personal chef.

"The demands made on behalf of Jennifer were outrageous," a source told the NY Post. "She effectively priced herself out of the event."

The source called the action "an idiotic move," equating the event to the Super Bowl halftime show. Last year, it drew 56 million viewers.

Event organizers replaced Lopez with rapper Pitbull.

Representatives for Lopez claim she could not perform at the event due to a scheduling conflict, stating the singer received "an offer...to perform, [but] the date conflicted with Jennifer's current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer."

This is not the first time the "Jenny From the Block" singer has had an outrageous list of demands.

In 2010, Lopez performed in a benefit video for AIDS, and her rider asked for a 45-foot trailer with white drapes, white couches, white lilies, white tablecloths and candles from luxury brand Diptyque.

She attracted publicity in 2007 when she sent a detailed two-page list of everything she required for a two-day stay.

It reportedly to include bottled water, soft drinks, lilies or red or white roses, grapefruit and lime blossom candles from luxury brand Jo Malone, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and oven, plain M&Ms, low-calorie beer and baked cookies.

In 2001, Lopez arrived for an interview at BBC studios with a 90-person entourage and required nine dressing rooms for the group.
