A New York man has been accused of groping a woman who was sleeping on a JetBlue flight.
During an April 2012 JetBlue flight from San Francisco to New York, Brett Zorse, 50, reportedly put his hand under the skirt of a 32-year-old woman and massaged her inner thigh. The woman woke up and asked Zorse what he was doing, to which he replied, '"It's not like I molested you. It's not like I stuck my finger in your p***y or grabbed your t**s," the Daily Mail reports.
Zorse then went on to say "I wouldn't mind a massage right now."
Zorse was charged with simple assault for the incident and could serve up to six months in prison if he's found guilty. He's set to appear in court on April 2.
Zorse, from Manhattan, was with his 12-year-old son when he groped the woman. He was sitting between the woman and his son on the plane.
Court documents cite that Zorse introduced himself to the woman before the plane took off. She said that his "conversations throughout the flight all turned to a sexual nature" and that he was very "touchy feely."
At another point during the flight, the woman offered to get something for Zorse from the overhead bin because she didn't want him to climb over her. To this, he said, "I'd really like to climb all over you."
Zorse even bought the woman a drink two and a half hours into the flight.
The woman eventually took a sleeping pill and fell asleep while listening to music. About 40 minutes before arriving at JFK, she awoke to find Zorse under her skirt.
The woman got up crying and went to the bathroom as he said "What's the matter you don't trust me anymore?' as she stood up."
The woman avoided going to baggage claim directly after the flight as she wanted to avoid Zorse.
She had Zorse's business card and contacted JetBlue and the police some time after the flight.
Zorse told police that he spoke with the woman and that the conversation did get sexual, but he thought she was flirting with him. He said he had his hand on her leg for about 300 seconds, but he claims that he never had his hand up her skirt and he said he didn't know she was asleep.
He felt that they bonded well and thought she wouldn't care about him touching her leg.
Zorse admitted to drinking before and during the flight.
