Did you buy a pair of black Lululemon yoga pants lately? You might want to take a close look at them as the company had a yoga pants recall after they realized that the material used in the pants is showing too much.
Lululemon recalled the popular Luon black yoga pants from stores and they're offering full refunds and exchanges on the products.
A specific shipment of the pants did not reach their standards, so there is expected to be a shortage of the popular item for a while.
In an FAQ, Lululemon states, "We have determined that certain shipments of product received from our factories and available in store on March 1, 2013, do not meet our technical specifications.
On the weekend of March 16, 2013, we pulled all of the affected black luon women's bottoms from our stores, showrooms and e-commerce site and are working with our supplier to replace the fabric and our other manufacturers to replace these key items as quickly as possible."
The company is already seeing the effects of pulling their items as their stock fell by more than five percent on Tuesday.
Those who purchased the see-through pants can return them.
"Guests who purchased black luon women's bottoms since March 1st, either online or in stores, and think they have affected product are welcome to return them for a full refund or exchange," Lululemon says. "Please contact our Guest Education Center at 1-877-263-9300 or gec@lululemon.com with questions as to how to return items purchased made through our e-commerce site."
Lululemon has not had a change of manufacturers. They are working with the Asia-based manufacturer to determine what went wrong with the fabric.
According to the Lululemon, they are trying to replace the product with higher quality yoga pants as soon as they can.
"We are doing everything we can to increase our inventory levels of black luon women's bottoms in our stores as soon as possible," the company said.
