Chelsea Clinton, 33, and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, 35, have recently purchased a stunning apartment in the center of Manhattan worth $10.5 million.
The Daily Mail reported that the couple is leaving their $4 million abode for the new one. They have been married since 2010 and The Daily Mail reports that they spotted the 5,000 sq ft, 4 bedroom property when they were walking around the area.
The apartment is located in the Whitman building next to Madison Square Park which is located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. The Daily Mail reported they signed a contract for the apartment last month.
A source said to The New York Post, It's great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private. There aren't hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security."
The apartment was being marketed by Douglas Elliman Real Estate. The apartment boasts high-ceilings and is newly renovated. The bathroom is huge and fitted out in Italian marble, reported The Daily Mail.
Inside the luxurious spot there is six and a half bathrooms in fact along with the four bedrooms, a home office, a den and a 252 sq ft planting terrace. Not to mention a full-time doorman and gym.
"Assuming Ms Clinton and Mr Mezvinsky put down a $2.1 million deposit on the their new The Whitman $10.5 million home, their monthly mortgage bill will be $52,358 and $57,371 if the couple handed over a 10 per cent down payment instead," reported The Daily mail. "This is a big jump from the still hefty $18,460-a-month repayments the pair were estimated to have been paying for their $4 million Grand Madison 'starter pad," reported The Daily Mail."The spacious bedrooms in decadent New York home are equally doused in natural light with large windows overlooking the street. And the bathrooms, covered in grey marble tiles, are roomy and ultra modern."
The couple were married in Rhinebeck, New York in 2010. Clinton reportedly first started dating Mexvinsky in 2005 and they got engaged over Thanksgiving weekend in 2009.
