Senator Claire McCaskill Tweets About Unpleasant TSA Pat Down

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) had an unpleasant experience when she went through a Transportation Security Administration TSA screening recently. She took to Twitter to criticize the group for the giving her an aggressive pat down.

McCaskill wasn't hapopy with the way that the TSA treated her and she wrote about the incident before boarding her flight on Monday. She said that she was chosen to undergo a pat down and it wasn't an enjoyable experience, The Hill reports.

"‪Today in my airport screening, test on my hands was positive," McCaskill wrote to her 89,100 followers on Monday. "Got private, more aggressive pat down. OMG. #veryuncomfortable."

This isn't the first time the senator made her thoughts known about the TSA. She has criticized their practices before. In 2011, she called the TSA'a pat down, "love pats" and said the process made her want to avoid traveling altogether.

"I try to avoid a pat-down at all costs," McCaskill told TSA Administrator John Pistole during a Senate hearing in 2011, according to The Hill. "There are many times women put their hands on me in a way that if it was your daughter or your sister or your wife, you would be upset."

McCaskill isn't the only politician to undergo strict TSA security searched. Last year, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) refused a TSA pat down. He was detained over the incident. Former Rep. Francisco "Quico" Canseco (R-Texas) also said he became a TSA target when he was at a San Antonio airport. The TSA also singled him out for additional pat downs.

This isn't the first time a celebrity took to Twitter to vent their frustrations over the TSA.

In November, Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles tweeted about an embarrassing incident in which the TSA searched her afro. In January, "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson tweeted about her anger over being mistaken for a child while going through airport security.
