Legos Spill on Highway: Legos Cause Disruption on Interstate 79 in West Virginia [PHOTO]

A Lego spill on a highway in West Virginia caused disruption to drivers on Sunday.

One lane of Interstate 79 was shut down after a little boy's Legos fell from a car roof and spilled across the road. Those who have stepped on a Lego know the pain that can occur. They can also be pretty damaging to cars as well.

The North Central and Central WV Working Fires Facebook page posted a photo of the Legos in the street and said "There was two bins of Legos on the roof of a blazer that fell off and blocked both lanes. Fire crews responded and cleared the scene once the Legos were off the roadway."

Crews worked to clean up the mess, but they weren't the only ones trying to pick up the toys. A woman named Tiffany Lantz took to Facebook to admit that the Legos belonged to her son. Her son was crying, so she took the time to try to pick up as many as she could.

"Those legos belonged to my 11 yr old son they where in totes strapped to the top of the durango they fell off strap came loose he cried it seemed like forever but I tried to recover as many as I could cause I don't have the money to buy him anymore." She went on to apologize to those who got stuck in traffic," Lantz said on Facebook.

While those who got stuck in traffic may not have been pleased, those who saw the Facebook post about the incident felt more sorry for Lantz's son.

A generous man who saw Lantz's post offered to replace the Legos that her son lost.

"Tiffany, MSG me your address. I have tons of Legos in storage I don't use. Your son could have more use for them!" Sherman Cahal said.

He wasn't the only one that offered a donation though. Several posters also offered Legos and money to buy new ones.
