Corbin Bleu Died? Actor Becomes Victim of Twitter Death Hoax

Corbin Bleu is dead. At least that's what Twitter was saying this week. However the "high School Musical" star didn't die. He's just the victim of a social media death hoax.

Rumors started swirling on Twitter on Sunday saying that the actor and singer died. The hashtag #RIPCorbin Bleu quickly became a top trend on Twitter as fans started to discuss his possible death.

While hundreds of people got word of his supposed death, Bleu himself was one of them. He heard about the rumor saying that he was dead as fans notified him about it. He took to Twitter to shoot down the rumors and show fans that he was alive and well.

"Hey everyone I'm not dead!! Don't believe the crazy stories. I'm at Magic Mountain having fun!!," Bleu tweeted. He later posted a photo of his day at Magic Mountain to show that he was okay.

Despite Bleu proving the fact that he wasn't dead, fans still took to Twitter to question and mourn the actor's death. Some examples of tweets include:

Bleu isn't the only celebrity to be killed off be the Internet lately. Death hoaxes have become a trend in the past few months.

Some other celebrities who became victims of a death hoax in recent months include rapper, Eminem, singer, Enrique Iglesias, "The Big Bang Theory actory Jim Parsons, actress Megan Fox, wrestler John Cena, singer Bruno Mars, actor Vin Diesel, musician Skrillex, Rapper Lil Wayne, Actor Vince Vaughn, Tom Kenny, the voice behind SpongeBob Squarepants, country singer Taylor Swift, legendary actor Morgan Freeman, Comedian Bill Cosby, Alfonso Ribeiro aka Carlton from the Fresh Prince, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. All of these celebrities are just fine.
