Switzerland has always been known for its picturesque and breathtaking views. While much has been said about its mountains, lakes, and other nature-related sights, praises have also been given to its architecture.
One place where you can both nature and historic architecture is Château de Chillon. Otherwise known as Chillon Castle, it is located south of Veytaux and is very much worth the visit when in Switzerland.
Here's what you can expect when you visit to Château de Chillon.
25 Buildings and Three Courtyards
Château de Chillon is composed of 25 buildings and three courtyards, so there is really much to see when you visit. Parade halls and subterranean vaults can be explored by guests, while wall paintings can be admired by art enthusiasts.
These can be explored via individual or group tours. These tours can be accompanied by guides, although guests are very much welcomed to tour unaccompanied.

The castle is home to permanent exhibition as well as temporary ones. Exhibitions held within its premises are usually related to the castle's history and landscape. It is also common to find temporary exhibitions on contemporary art.
Past exhibitions include an art exhibition called "Caroline Tschumi – Princesses in Light," which was held from 2022 to 2023, and Christine Sefolosha's "Casting Off."
