Best Cars For the Money 2013, According to U.S. News & World Report

Looking to buy a new car for that next road trip, but you want a car that'll be worth the thousands of dollars your spend on it? US News & World Report released a list of the 2013 Best Cars for the money to help make the decision easier.

US News & World Report looked at cars in 21 different categories including compact cars, SUV's, hybrid cars, large cars, small cars and more. Comparing their quality with the price, the news publisher determined which cars are the best for the money in each category.

"The award winners show that when it comes to cars, you can have your cake and eat it too," said Jamie Page Deaton , Managing Editor of U.S. News Best Cars in a media release. "There's a misconception that a car that offers a good value is boring. Our awards show that a car can have good performance, the latest features, plenty of comfort and still be a smart financial choice for the long haul."

Ford was a big winner as six of their models won different categories on the list. There is a mix of foreign and domestic cars on the list and this is the first time a BMW was chosen as a winner.
