Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is going cruising! The sushi master will be joining Crystal Cruises 12-day Rome-Istanbul Black Sea voyage on Crystal Symphony starting Jul 13. He will he joined by Fumio Hazu the Sake Master to present a culinary and sake experience unlike any other.
Seventy guests will be invited to the Silk Road restaurant two two Omakase, or Ched's Choice dinners which will feature of Nobu's finest dishes and connoisseur items, such as white sturgeon caviar and Hokusetsu "Musical Sake." Nobu will also hold live cooking demonstrations.
The ship will also have sake tasting sessions presented by Hazu who will demonstrate them processes that are used to create sake such as playing Japanese music to bottles for three years to create a smoother taste from vibrations.
During regular hours, guests can catch Nobu and Hazu at the Silk Road restaurant and The Sushi Bar. The duo will also be available for cookbook signings and photo opportunities.

Crystal's Nobu-cuisine restaurants are the only ones of their kind on cruise ships. The restaurants feature his personally-trained chefs, signature dishes, Nobu sake and even his own personalized dinnerware. The restaurants even offer room service to those staying on the Penthouse deck.
The cruise that Nobu will be on visits Rome's port of Civitavecchia, Sorrento, and Sicily, Italy; Constanţa, Romania; Odessa (overnight) and Yalta, Ukraine; Sochi, Russia; and Istanbul, Turkey (overnight). The cruise starts at $5,510/person. Those who book by February 28 save $900 per person.
