Flying United in August? Check your Reservation for New 737 Max Cancellations

United Airlines has removed the grounded Boeing 737 Max from its schedule through Labor Day, joining American and Southwest as no clear timetable for the aircraft's return has emerged.

United had previously taken the plane out of its schedule through Aug. 3. The move means the cancellation of an additional 60 flights per day.

The airline said affected travelers will be rebooked on alternate flights, in some cases at a different time, in others at the same time with a larger aircraft than originally planned. Travelers who can't be accommodated or don't like the alternate flights have will receive a refund.
