3 Killed in Plane Crash Near Fort Pierce, Florida

Three were killed in a plane crash in central Florida this week.

According to the Associated Press, the Federal Aviation Administration said a Cessna 310 was heading to Bartow from Okeechobee on Thursday afternoon when the FAA lost contact with the aircraft while it was near Fort Pierce at around 4:35 pm.

Initial aerial searches for the plane were unsuccessful. The plane had crashed and was later found in a march area on Friday morning about 20 miles west of Vero Beach.

The U.S. Coast Guard brought paramedics to the scene by helicopter. The paramedics removed the three who were killed from the crash site.
An investigation is now being carried out at the National Transportation Safety Board tried to determine what caused the crash.

The names of the victims have not been released. There is no information about when the plane wreckage will be removed. There are no further updates at this time.

This isn't the only deadly plane crash in Florida recently. In January, a small Beechcraft BE35 aircraft crashed into a house in central Florida, about a mile from Flagler County Airport. All three people on board were also killed in the incident. There were no casualties in the home.
