When Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson swapped lives for a week on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, Gosselin's children were traumatized, Robert Hoffman, author of the "anti-Kate" e-book told Radar Online.
When the two former Dancing With the Stars contestants filmed last year for ABC's wife swap program, Hoffman told Radar that "the Gosselin children were scared and very confused, having no idea who their new mom-for-a-week was, or why they were left alone with her to be filmed by strangers.
On Feb. 26, according to The Daily Mail, the episode will be aired -- featuring Kate, 37, overseeing NFL husband Hank Baskett and son Hank Jr., while Kendra will tackle the challenge of caring for Kate's eight kids for a week.
Radar exclusively reported that the eight children were held under silence about the wife swap, told "not to speak a word about it to anyone at school or anywhere else," according to Hoffman.
"I'm not sure how much more psychological damage Kate can do to these poor children, but she sure looks like she's willing to sink to new depths to get her face back on television," Hoffman wrote of Kate after her TLC show Kate Plus 8 (a spinoff of Jon and Kate Plus 8, before she and her husband divorced) wrapped up, Radar reported.
The Daily Mail has contacted Gosselin's spokesman for comment.
