Human "Ken doll" Justin Jedlica has spent more than $100,000 on plastic surgeries to transform himself into remarkably plastic-like man he is today. Jedlica appeared on the UK talk show, "This Morning" to talk about his plastic surgery.
He told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that he doesn't think of his multiple plastic surgeries as an addiction rather he sees it as "being artistic," The Daily Mail reports.
Comparing himself to Picasso he said to the hosts, "It's creative, would you ask Picasso not to paint? Why is it any more offensive because I choose to be creative through surgery?"
Jedlica has had 14 operations and othe procedures including botox and filler injections. He has had five nose jobs, cheek, lip, chin augmentations and pec, bicep, tricep and shoulder implants.
Though Justin told Holmes and Langsford that he doesn't see it as an addiction, he said something different when interviewed by The Sun. "I was hooked the first time I went under the knife and seeing the results just gave me an amazing buzz I knew I wanted to experience again and again," Jedlica said to The Sun. "Fixing my nose was my main objective when I first started getting plastic surgery, but as I continued to learn about new treatment options I kept wanting more and more work done. It really is an addiction. Believe it or not with my nose, even after spending a total of £17,000 to getting it where it is now, I still don't think it's perfect."
Jedlica who is a native New Yorker said that he saved up to have his first nose job at 17 after seeing stars such as Michael Jackson who made plastic surgery seem luxurious.
"I was from a low income family and it was something that seem unobtainable for me to be like one of those people," The Daily Mail reported he said."I always thought I was a handsome individual so had a great base to work from."
When Ruth Langsford asked Holmes why he didn't just work out instead of getting the expensive body surgery he said that he believed it would not have been cheaper to just go to the gym.
"By the time you pay for gym membership and time you spend not at work in the gym, it's not cheaper," he said reported The Daily Mail.
He said that working out was "long term pain for long term gain" while getting plastic surgery equals "short term pain for long term gain."
Jedlica told The Sun that in high school he was awkward and was victim to bullying. "I was very tall and thin and a bit awkward as a teenager and was always a bit of a loner.I had gaps in my teeth, I wore huge bifocal glasses because my vision was so bad and I was forced to shave twice a day because I had so much facial hair," he said to The Sun. "I hated school as I would get bullied about my looks and as time went on I became more and more determined to change everything about myself. "
