A two-legged cat is the latest Internet sensation. Caffrey the Persian may be disabled, but he's unstoppable.
Caffrey, a black and grey Persian with yellow eyes lost his left hind leg when he got hit by a car at three years old. Caffrey received $4,000 worth of surgeries and he lived with three legs for ten years. However four months ago Caffrey became a two-legged cat after vets discovered a malignant growth on his left front leg.
Caffrey's owner, Sue Greaves of Surrey, England, wouldn't accept the idea of putting her cat down or making him go through painful chemotherapy. Four vets told Geaves that she shouldn't bother with the $5,000 amputation as they said Caffrey's life wouldn't be worth living if he couldn't walk.
Greaves insisted on going through with the amputation of the other leg, so Caffrey was left with only two legs on the same side. However that hasn't stopped the frisky feline.
Caffrey dominated on three legs for ten years and after two month of recovery from the recent amputation, the Persian is a master of moving on two legs.
"Everyone who sees him is astonished at what he can do," Greaves told Life With Cats. "He doesn't seem bothered at all by having only two legs."
Videos on YouTube show just how well Caffrey the two-legged cat does despite his handicap and the Internet is loving his determination.
The following YouTube video has over 161,000 views.
Caffrey isn't the only two-legged cat to gain Internet fame. Last year, Anakin, a two-legged kitten whose back legs never developed, became an Internet sensation.
