Airbnb Lists The Entire Country Of Sweden To Attract Tourists

Tourists eyeing to have their vacation in Sweden will now experience more efficiency thanks to the collaboration of the country and Airbnb. Sweden has turned its entire country into a listing on the popular holiday rental website.

In an article published in Business Insider, this collaboration between Airbnb and Visit Sweden is an effort in promoting the country's "allemansrätten" or "freedom to roam" principle. This principle lets tourists freely explore all public spaces across Sweden.

With the protection by Swedish law, the idea is that people don't need to book accommodation to visit Sweden. With the help of Airbnb, they could just grab a tent and set it up freely in any publicly owned land.

In an article published in Forbes, the collaboration between Sweden and Airbnb has limitations. Private properties like personal gardens and lands under cultivation are exempted from the accessible lands for the tourists as the "do not disturb, do not destroy" principle of the country applies.

The listing of Airbnb said that Sweden has the necessities and amenities that any great home should have.

"It's a place where you can eat berries from the ground, sleep under the stars, swim in the lakes and roam freely," the listing adds.

Airbnb suggested a number of specific locations in Sweden like the "Rustic Forest Retreat in Vintage Style." It is located in a historic and mysterious forest in western Väarmland, which offers superb quality accommodation that would be one for the books.

The listing provided by Airbnb also promotes Sweden's beautiful midnight sky that would be fun for stargazing. They also promoted the tourist-attracting wild mushrooms during fall that would be enjoyed in foraging from August to November.

The collaboration between Airbnb and Sweden will be available for 365 days a year.
