The Nemo snow totals are in and the maybe not so lucky winner is Milford, CT. The Connecticut town had the most snow during the northeast blizzard with 38 inches.
With more than three feet of snow due to Nemo, those in Milford, CT have a lot of shoveling to do this weekend. Falling behind Milford is Oxford with 36.2 inches and Hamden had three feet exactly.
Winds were also high in Connecticut. Westport has 82 mph winds at around 11 pm and New Haven saw 47mph winds at around 9pm.
However Connecticut didn't have all the fun. New Jersey and New York had some big totals too. Riverdale in Bergen County, New Jersey had 16.8 inches. In New York, Long Island took the biggest hit. Medford in Suffolk County has 33.5 inches. Each Norwhich, Massapequa Park and Plainview in Nassau County had 18 inches.
Even Manhattan got a nice big serving of snow. The snow in Central Park measured at 11.4 inches. Middle Village in Queens has 15 inches. Fieldston in the Bronx also had 15 inches. Brooklyn had between eight to nine inches.
Some areas had so much snow that they couldn't get out their front door as it was piled so high. Several roads were closed off throughout the region as snow plows worked to clear pathways.
Air travel was also deeply impacted. More than 5,300 flights were cancelled Friday into Saturday. New York City's major airports, Newark Airport and Boston's Logan Airport were all closed.
