Ever since the hit webcomic series-turned-anime, "One Punch Man" was revealed to have a second season, fans of the series made themselves busy speculating on the plot of Season 2. Though many of this fan-made theory sound absurd, there are some believable speculations that put fans into greater excitement. The show runners and even the people behind the manga and webcomic are keeping their silence. However, as the production for season 2 continues, updates are now emerging.
According to OppTrends, fan discussions claimed that Season 2 will kick off with the introduction of the Class-S rank 7 hero, King. As for the manga, King's Arc followed directly the Alien Conquerors Arc which is where the first season left off. King Saga will be followed by the Human Monster Saga that will see the introduction of Garou.
Garou was first mentioned in Season 1 when Saitama and Genos questioned Bang the whereabouts of the students in his dojo. Though there is no confirmation that Garou will become the main antagonist in Season 2, the theory that Saitama will have a faceoff with Garou is highly possible. There is no information about the limit of powers of Garou but it is hard to imagine that the former martial artist disciple will be on par with the Caped Baldy hero.
In other reports, Blasting News claimed that "One Punch Man" Season 2 is going to have a new image theme song that will be performed by the Japanese anime song maker, Jam Project. It can be recalled that the same group performed the opening song of the previous season titled "The Hero." There no more details that accompanied the announcement but we can expect that an energetic and amazing performance from the group.
While every little detail regarding "One Punch Man" Season 2 is strictly kept sealed, we can expect more information in the future as the production is now currently ongoing. The release date for the highly-anticipated sequel was shown to be on TBA status so we'll just have to wait in the meantime.
