Blake Lively gave away an emotional speech at the Variety's Power of Women awards. The event which took place in New York, saw "The Shallows" star revealing what she can do for her adorable daughters, James and Ines and expressed hate for child pornography.
Lively has been one of the honorees at the function and received the award at the hands of Salma Hayek. Upon receiving the award, Lively, made the audience aware about the important topic of stopping child pornography. In order to eradicate the evil, she has joined hands with "The Child Rescue Coalition."
After Hayek handed over the award, Lively passionately delivered her speech. She took a moment to talk about what she can do for her daughters. "I would do anything to protect them," she continues, "I would literally die for them without a moment's thought," reported Variety.
Her first daughter James was born in Dec. 2014. And her second bundle of joy arrived in Sep. 2016.Both, Ryan Reynolds and Lively, are protective of their children. They tied the wedding knot in 2012. After the birth of their two daughters, they have been very much fond of them.
Lively has revealed to the audience that initially she did not know what child pornography was all about. "But I felt I had to ask, and I wanted to share with you," she explained. The efforts to rescue victimized children have not halted. Lively says, "The Child Rescue Coalition has already found 9,000 predators" she further adds,"... and saved 2,000 children and offers its services, reported Refinery29.
She even shared some astonishing statistics at the function. Urging the audience present at the event, she said that "The Child Rescue Coalition" is trying to widen its services. She added that sexual exploit can be irradicated if those people involved with child porn will face immediate rejection once they apply for jobs where they can get more victims. "Gossip Girl" fame Lively became emotional at the event and it was clearly seen by the audience. She is giving her efforts toward stopping child pornography through "The Child Rescue Coalition."
