Timberlake Beer: Grammy-Award Winning Artist to Sell You 'Classy' Bud Light Platinum

What do Jay-z, Pitbull and Justin Timberlake have in common?

Besides all being successful musicians, they all, thanks to Timberlake's recent announcement, have "beer-deals" with Anheuser-Busch.

On Feb. 7, Anheuser-Busch made an agreement with the 32-year-old Timberlake which will make the former N' Sync star the "creative, music and cultural curator" for the beer.

Timberlake said, according to examiner.com "that he was looking forward to working with Bud Light Platinum and hoped to use it to bring other musicians into the spotlight as well."

With this deal Timberlake joins Jay-z, who has been the creative director for Budweiser Select wince 2006 and Pitbull, who works with the original Bud Light brand.

This isn't the first time that celebrities have been used to promote alcohol.

Anheuser-Busch has used David Beckham and Diddy in a few past advertisements, just to name a few.

"Anheuser-Busch calls Justin Timberlake one of the "greatest creative minds in entertainment" and they hope the partnership will help the new Bud Light Platinum brand. They have already used music by Kanye West and Avicii in their advertisements," according to examiner.com.

E.J. Schultz and Rupal Parekh of Advertising Age magazine report that we can expect a minute-long Bud Light Platinum ad featuring Timberlake's new single, "Suit and Tie," to debut during this Sunday's Grammy Awards broadcast. The beer's big selling point is that it has the calorie count of a light beer, but the alcohol content of a regular brew.

The question is:

Will Timberlake help Anheuser-Busch sell beer, or, will it tank and make him look like an attention-grabber?
