Capcom has been mum about the details of the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" game after revealing it last December. But it looks like some details about the game's roster has been leaked and it would include members of "X-Men," Dante of "Devil May Cry," and Frank West of "Dead Rising."
According to a report from GameRant, a NeoGAF user with the name Rikurikumore revealed the information about the game in the site's forum. Rikurikumore confirmed that Dante and Frank West will definitely be appearing, plus the "X-Men" group.
The report said that the confirmation of Dante and Frank West already seems obvious for Capcom's roster. But for Marvel, including "X-Men" characters were never a guarantee, given that the company has been putting less focus on the X-Men comics.
The likely reason for this is that Marvel wants to concentrate more on characters that are existing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So "X-Men" characters, which is a property of Sony, has been given less priority.
Cosmic Book News also reported about a leak that said "X-Men" characters will be part of the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite," this time coming from a different game forum. Though this doesn't really confirm that the "X-Men" will be in the game, it shows that people are hoping for the franchise's popular characters to make an appearance.
The report said that fans will likely know more about "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 in June. Capcom and Marvel will use the E3 2017 to "reintroduce" the game to the fans with enhanced visuals.
Cosmic Book News is hoping that the information about the "X-Men" being part of the game is true. This is because a "Marvel vs. Capcom" game won't be complete without characters like Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, and more.
The "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" game is currently in development and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the trailer for the game in the video below.
