Kids and kids at heart will surely look forward to an all-new adventure at the Disneyland this summer, as the world-renowned theme park announced new, and exciting activities and attractions to make their debut both in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. First, the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! will officially open its doors to the public this coming May 27 in Disney California Adventure Park. They will also appear alongside the Avengers during the Summer of Heroes, also scheduled to open on the same day. According to Disney, some of the heroes from the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film will also grace the park for the first time, which the kids will surely love.
By popular demand, the Main Street Electrical Parade has also been extended through August 20 in Disneyland Park, Travel Pulse reports. The Fantasmic Show is also set to reopen this summer on the Rivers of America as well as some of its attractions such as Sailing Ship Columbia, Mark Twain Riverboat, Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes.
In a statement, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek said: "In the U.S. and around the world, Disney parks are making new magic for our guests. With an irreverent and rockin' new attraction at Disneyland Resort and an entire never-before-seen world at Walt Disney World Resort opening this May, there are fantastic experiences in store for our guests. Starting this summer they will be able to step into the worlds of their favorite stories and characters like never before."
Another new show that will surely captivate the hearts of young Disney fans is the Disney Junior Dance Party, debuting on May 26. Characters from popular Disney Junior TV shows such as "Sofia the First", "Doc McStuffins", and "The Lion Guard" will put on a fun concert experience like entertainment that would have viewers dancing and singing in their seats.
