Bobby Brown Dead? Singer/ Songwriter Becomes Victim of Twitter Death Hoax

Bobby Brown died. At least that's what Twitter is saying. However the singer/ songwriter didn't die. He's just the victim of a social media death hoax. Bobby Brown is just fine.

A rumor started spreading around on Wednesday that Bobby Brown died. Many came across a tweet from Kendrick Lamar.

"R.I.P. Bobby Brown. The R&B star was found dead in his house some hours ago," the tweet read.

The message was also tweeted by rapper Tyga. Coming from a rapper like Tyga or Lamar, the tweet might seem legitimate, but the tweet came from a fake account. The handle of the tweet is @Kendrick_Lamarr. Lamar's real twitter handle issimply @kendrinkIamar. The fake Tyga account's handle is @RealTYGA_ while the real Tyga's twitter is simply @Tyga.

However the fake Kendrick account has 384,600 followers and the fake Tyga account has over 17,000, so it is easy to believe that it is real.

The tweets about Brown's death from the fake account was shared about 20 times and the rumor quickly started to spread around Twitter.

Bobby Brown, the ex-husband of the late Whiteney Houston, isn't dead. In fact he just celebrated his 44th birthday on February 5.

He's just fine.

However some fans who saw the fake tweet took to Twitter to mourn and question the death of Brown. Some examples of tweets include:

"Bobby brown really dead ?!?

"Lmfao wtf !! My Mom Just Called TMZ to see if Bobby Brown died ! Lmao this lady I swear ! #ILoveMyMommy"

Internet death hoaxes have become a trend on the Internet. A celebrity is killed off in some way every few days.

All of these celebrities are just fine.
