Many fans are still getting a hangover in the epic Season 7 of AMC's hit zombie apocalypse TV series, "The Walking Dead." Many are heartbroken because of the passing of a few beloved characters in the series such as Glenn, Abraham and Sasha under the tyrant rule of Negan. With the action-packed season finale, all are eagerly waiting for the all-out war that will be waged not among the dead but against the survivors.
Last season, all the pieces are laid in position and the first shots are fired. The war is now triggered between the alliance of The Saviors and the Junkyard Scavengers and The Militia which consists of people of the Alexandria, Hilltop Colony and The Kingdom. The battle in Alexandria signaled the end of the independent communities' forced obedience to Negan and the start of the fight to overthrow him.
According to Variety, several actors are made into regulars in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" Season 8 that is slated to arrive this fall. Among them is Steven Ogg who played Simon, the right-hand man of the Savior's Negan. Katelyn Nacon who played Enid, a teenaged member of Alexandria community who was somehow connected to Carl is also promoted. Pollyanna McIntosh who played Jadis, the leader of the traitorous Scavengers will also receive the same advancement.
In other reports, the 43-year-old actor Andrew Lincoln who played the protagonist of the series, Rick Grimes expressed his excitement in the upcoming Season 8 as reported by Just Jared. He mentioned that it's not skeptical of him to show enthusiasm in the upcoming season but instead, he is just excited from the bottom of his heart and he can't wait to get back. "It's been a lot of placing the chess pieces and positioning and introducing key players in this landscape," added Lincoln.
In the upcoming season, showrunner Scott Gimple hinted that the Rick and the coalition are fighting to preserve the little that is left of the civilization following the apocalyptic events that happened earlier. The people of The Militia wants to live in a fair peaceful and just community instead of cowering in fear under Negan's tyrannical rule. With that being said, we can expect Rick and the crew fight in the best of their abilities to overthrow Negan from power.
