Prince Harry Went Through Emotional Breakdown After Princess Diana’s Death; Prince Undergone Counselling

Prince Harry revealed in an interview that he went through suffering after his mother faced demise. The prince admitted that he went through a total chaos for two years and that he was even close to a complete breakdown. He also revealed that he went through psychotherapy three years ago since his brother Prince William urged him to do so.

Further, Harry, who is now 32 years old, also confirmed that engaging himself in boxing also helped him recover from that aggression. The prince decided to open up about the issue in order to break the rumors around his mental health issue. As of now, the prince, together with his brother and sister-in-law, lead the promotion and awareness of mental health campaign, BBC reported.

Harry was only 12 years old when Princess Diana died and he revealed that he shut down all those emotions for more than 20 years. The emotional chaos he went through made a huge impact on his personal life and his work. He was close to complete emotional chaos at certain occasions when all those grief and misconceptions came down to his system.

As per New York Times, the prince drew some praise from the different advocates of mental illness with his revelations. Many also praised the prince for being open to his grief. Further, Harry also revealed that he tried to cope with the situation when her mother died in a car accident by not talking about it.

Moreover, as of now, Harry and his brother Prince William announced that they had commissioned a statue at the Kensington Palace for Princess Diana as one way of commemorating her death for 20 years. Aside from promoting the Heads Together Campaign, the prince also created an Invictus Games which is a sports event for sick and wounded service members.
