The recruitment mini-arc for the upcoming Tournament of Power has been going on for a while in "Dragon Ball Super" and fans cannot wait for the multiverse and action-packed battle royal to start. In the latest episode, Goku continues his search for outstanding warriors to make his ten-man-team to represent Universe 7. After enlisting his best friend and his wife, the Saiyan had set his eyes on the black-haired android.
The episode started off with Goku asking Dende the whereabouts of his next prospect who is now working as a wildlife ranger on a remote island. Dende told Goku that the android is located on an huge island in the south and the young Namekian added that No.17 have grown stronger. Goku and No.17 haven't met so the Saiyan is really excited this strong warrior.
Android No. 17 remained away from the limelight ever since the Cell arc finished and we only knew that he and his twin sister was brought back by the dragon balls after they are consumed by Cell. According to Anime News Network, the androids are designed to have near unlimited-power so it is safe to assume that the No.17 that we know will be far stronger from before as he's continuously training. Fans are able to witness the strength of No.17 in the latest episode of "Dragon Ball Super" when Goku and No.17 test each other's strength in a friendly match.
Goku transformed into a super saiyan for the match but No. 17 kept up with Goku and he actually landed some big punches to Goku as reported by Bam! Smack! Pow! Goku sensed that No. 17 is holding back because their battle may result in destroying the island so they soared above the clouds over the setting sun and go all out. Goku turned super saiyan blue and fire a Kamehameha which the android answered with a force field blocking the blast.
They decided to stop the battle as more of it will definitely destroy the island and they sat down to talk about the recruitment. Goku invited him to join the team but No. 17 instantly refused as there will be no one to protect the island. He also used the ten million card get him but he still turned down the offer claiming that being a ranger has a good salary. Goku even told him the real stakes in the Tournament of Power but the Android is not afraid of being erased.
On the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super" that will be titled "Hunt the Poachers! Goku and No. 17's United Front!!," aliens are after the animals in No.17's protected sanctuary. Now, it's up to him and Goku to stop the invaders. Will Goku convince the android to join the tournament?
