Royal Caribbean Cruises Plans To Offer Land Tours For Its Clients

For many years, the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has been offering its clients more travel time to spend on land. But now, it's planning to offer more than just that and pushed for the launching of its very own company that will focus only on land tours.

According to the Travel Market Report, the cruise line established a new division which is named GoBe.com. The website aims to be one of the top digital service providers in the world when it comes to tours and activities. With the company's subsidiary, people from all over the world can have a chance to travel in about 97 countries and 900 cities.

GoBe managing director Billy Campbell said,"We want to be strong in Las Vegas and Madrid and the interior of India and China." The Royal Caribbean has been one of the leading cruise lines that specialized in organizing shore trips, but now, it will start creating a fresh network of tour operators and guides for its land-only excursions.

New York Times reported that the new company would be offering a mix of group and private tours, which include a surfing class in Brazil and a fashion design academy in Milan. Aside from that, the company also offers its clients a chance to customize their itineraries during long layovers.

GoBe is also trying to establish connections with hotel companies, particularly with Marriott, so that guests can stay at these hotels during their travels. As of the moment, Marriott Vacations Worldwide head Michael Finn has stated that his company is open to such a proposal and looks forward to working with GoBe in the future.

Campbell gave an example of how GoBe can be useful to travelers. He said that a businessman, along with his daughter, were having an eight-hour layover in Istanbul. The two availed of GoBe's services and had a full-day tour set up for them.
