According to Comic Book, Goku is making progress with his recruiting stint. He was able to sign up Krillin and Android 18 to join his team, while Gohan is on his way to Piccolo to invite him to join. They are doing a great job, but they still need more members to join their crew.
Travelers Today has previously reported that Goku will do his best to make Android 17 say yes in joining his team. "Dragon Ball Super" episode 86 is titled "Trading Blows for the First Time! Android No. 17 vs Son Goku!!" and the summary teases that the Gods of Destruction plot to squash Universe 7, but Goku does not know this. He went on to recruit Android 17.
