Microsoft has just rolled out it's Windows 10 Creators Update that, as the name suggests, is an update that's geared more towards creators. But it also provided an update that allows users more control over their privacy setting and it improved the Microsoft Edge browser.
According to a report from BGR, the latest update is available to download for free, provided the people who will download it is already a Windows 10 user. The update, though, is not small and it would eat a chunk of space, as well as data capacity.
The report said that the Windows 10 Creators Update weighs at over 3GB, which means people who are using capped WiFi or tethered internet connection will have to think carefully before they start downloading. People are also encouraged to back up their important files as a safety precaution before downloading and updating.
As the name of the update suggests, it provides features that will be appreciated more by creators. One of which is support for consuming and even creating 3D content and another is better sharing options and more cohesive contact management.
But the Windows 10 Creators Update doesn't only have features that creators would love, as it also improved the privacy settings, as well as the Edge browser. Lifehacker reports that one of the new things that people who installed the update in their gadget is a prompt that provides a variety of privacy options.
The update will allow users to indicate whether or not Microsoft can target them for ads based on usage, know their location, or collect diagnostic data. People also has more control when it comes to Windows Update, allowing them to avoid unwanted reboots or turning off prompts that tell them to update.
Aside from the privacy setting, Microsoft also improved the Edge browser, providing features that people are more accustomed to seeing in the Chrome browser. The report said that the tabs can now be seen easier in the Edge and it can now be hidden for future views.
