‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Trailer: Cate Blanchett’s Hela Left Thor Weaponless; Questions Left Unanswered In The Trailer

The "Thor: Ragnarok" trailer is out and the Goddess of Death a.k.a Hela played by Cate Blanchett was seen smashing the Mjolnir, Thor's signature weapon. After the trailer was shown there are still questions that remain hanging in the minds of the fans.

The trailer starts with Chris Hemsworth, the Asgardian Avenger dangling in a deep, dark pit with chains all over his body after his encounter with the fierce Hela. She proclaims Asgard as dead as fire and ash were seen over Thor's home world. Thor is now in the hole in space at Sakaar.

The trailer also features a game, gladiator-style in Sakaar as set by The Grandmaster played by Jeff Goldblum. It is a face-off between two former buddies - Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is directed by "What We Do in the Shadows" and "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople" helmer Taika Waititi as per Entertainment Weekly.

The trailer is already filled with his signature style like when Thor calls Hulk as his former buddy from work. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is seen battling Hela's forces and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The "Thor: Ragnarok" Facebook page posted Thor's new look on the new poster.

The trailer, however, according to Cinema Blend did not reveal many other things like the whereabouts of Thor's father Odin and Doctor Strange's participation in the film. The possibility of the Mjolnir restructured or it will be gone forever, Heimdall's fate, and Thor's closest allies Lady Sif and Warriors Three were not seen in the trailer. Loki's plan was not revealed too. Another thing that was not made clear in the trailer is the reason why Hulk is fighting the hero and also no infinity stones were seen.

The film will hit the theaters on November 3. Another trailer might be released that can answer all the hanging questions about the film. Stay tuned for updates on "Thor: Ragnarok."
