Girl, 6, Crashes Car in Pittsburgh

A girl, 6, crashed a car when she was trying to visit her father across town. Luckily no one was hurt.

The little girl took her mother's car keys and got into the vehicle at around 9 a.m. on Sunday in Pittsburgh. Her mother was sleeping at the time and didn't realize her child took the vehicle, the Associated Press reports.

It is not clear how the girl knew how to drive a car, but according to Police Sgt. Jerry Parker, she is tall for her age. "How she knew how to operate a car, your guess is as good as mine," Sgt. Parker told the Associated Press.
However the girl wasn't very good at actually driving the car because she crashed into two parked cars, pushed them into a third car and then she hit a utility pole.

The girl did get to see her father as he arrived on the scene to take her home.
Police are continuing to investigate the issue. The haven't said if charges will be made.

This incident comes a few days after a 10-year-old girl in Arizona drove a car and crashed it into a convenience story. However the girl's mother knew she was driving it. The girl drove less than a mile on Thursday when she accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and she crashed into the entrance of the Circle K convenience store.
