'DJI Spark' Latest Leak Reveals Upcoming DJI Drone Is Mavic Pro's Little Brother

A recent leak claims that DJI is developing a new drone to be released soon in the market. The alleged device is dubbed as the "DJI Spark" looks like the "Mavic Pro," only smaller.

Several leaked images of the heavily speculated "DJI Spark" are hitting the web recently. The spilled photos reveal that it is a smaller version of the popularly loved drone from the Chinese drone maker, the "Mavic Pro." Currently, no information has been revealed confirming the release or even the reveal of the speculated drone. Several reports, however, claim that pictures of the alleged "DJI Spark" have been brought on the forums page of the Chinese drone maker's website. It was later reported to have been taken down and the identity of the one who posted it was still unknown up to now.

As revealed in the leaked images, the alleged "DJI Spark" appears smaller compared to the "Mavic Pro." In addition, its base looks like it has sensors facing downward, which according to some analysts are for position purposes. Furthermore, at the front of the drone, a panel is added, which most likely the device's obstacle-avoiding feature as reported by Science Times.

Aside from those, the camera of the "DJI Spark," as seen in the image appears to be somewhat extraordinary. It looks as though it has the ability to tilt upward and downward. Meanwhile, the battery design has a resemblance with the "Mavic Pro." However, it appears to have four contact points, which might be utilized in guiding the device upon landing or as charging dock.

Although the company has already registered the name "DJI Spark," it currently denies the existence of the said drone. The leaked images revealed a lot about what patrons could expect from the drone. However, many questions are still left unanswered at this point. T3 pointed out that the images on the Internet cannot answer the question if the device has the same foldable arms like its bigger brother.
