The Montreign Operating Company, LLC has announced its license agreement to rebrand its Montreign Resort Casino into a Resorts World Property on Thursday, where it is currently developing a $1.2 billion four-season resort in New York. The resort casino will include an 18-story hotel, a 100,000 square feet casino floor, and a 27,000 square feet meeting and entertainment area.
The license agreement has granted MOC to use brand names "Resorts World" and "Genting" and its associated logos in all of its operations in the resort casino. This has placed MOC to leverage among other internationally-recognized Resorts World around the globe such as in Birmingham, England; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Manila, Philippines; and Singapore among many others.
"We are excited to be able to associate our property with the prestigious Resorts World brand established by the leaders of the Genting Group, a multi-national conglomerate that includes a global destination-resort operator with a reputation for being a premier provider of leisure and entertainment services,'' said Empire's Executive Chairman of the Board Emanuel Pearlman in a press statement to Travelers Today.
"We believe branding our resort casino a Resorts World property will significantly enhance our ability to market the facility and attract visitors, which will provide regional, national and international exposure for Sullivan County and the Catskills region."
MOC has licensed the use of the brand names in March 2017, and where the slated opening of the resort casino to happen in March 2018. The property will include five gaming areas, over 2,000 slot machines, and 130 table games. Sports and casino bars will open by the resort together with a couple of VIP restaurant and lounges.
The 332 All-Suite resort will include business centers and multi-purpose rooms with over 2,000 seating capacity and comprises of seven meeting rooms and eight convention rooms.
Resorts World is an internationally-recognized brand founded by the Genting Group, a multinational organization of global destination resorts and a leading provider of leisure and entertainment services.
